Beyondthe breath
The breath changes the moment. What you do beyond it can change your life.
Arrive. Breathe. Return with one decision.
Three doors
Choose your door.
Every Experience follows the same six phases. The formats differ in how far the breath goes and how long the room holds you afterward.

What has been studied
The research, as it is.
Slow breathing may modestly reduce self-reported stress and anxiety. The evidence base is still small and mixed in quality. (Fincham et al., 2023, Scientific Reports)
In short-term studies, slow breathing near five to six breaths a minute is associated with higher heart-rate variability and a shift toward the body’s rest-and-recovery state. (Zaccaro et al., 2018, Frontiers in Human Neuroscience)
Small studies suggest short daily breathing practices may support mood and reduce physiological arousal, and that longer breathing training may support sustained attention. Sample sizes are small and the results are preliminary. (Balban et al., 2023, Cell Reports Medicine; Ma et al., 2017, Frontiers in Psychology)
We report the research as it is, and we leave the experience to you. Sources are published with our safety page.
3 to 5 min. Near-black. Room tone only.
Integration
The music stops. The work starts.
Every Experience holds at least eight minutes for Integration before you Return: silence, then a journal, then your choice about whether to say anything to anyone. Never skipped, never rushed.
The integration card
A small printed card at your mat. Before you Return, you finish one sentence on it with one of four things: one action, one conversation, one boundary, or one decision. Small and real beats big and vague. It leaves with you.
Your first Experience
01
Arrive
Doors 15 minutes before. Phones sealed at the desk, shoes off, a mat and a blanket, and a one-minute reading of how you walked in.
02
Intend
One honest line on a card, written and private. A reason for being here tonight, in your own words.
03
Breathe
The format's arc, paced by the score. A rest position is taught first and stays available the whole way through.
04
Integrate
Silence, then the page, then four layers of sharing to choose from. At least eight minutes, protected.
05
Return
Lights rise on the final line. The card leaves with you, and the Integration starts for real: two days later we ask you about it.
How we hold the room
- Four participation layers, always offered: Private, Paired, Circle, Community. You choose the layer. No one is ever called on.
- Phones are sealed at the door and handed back at the Return.
- Screening is care. It comes before the deeper formats, and it decides which door is yours tonight.
- The Facilitator narrates permission, never meaning. No one interprets your experience for you.
How it’s measured
Every Experience is read before and after, four scales at check-in and again at the exit, on your own scale and against no one else’s. It is a record for you and a method check for us, never a marketing meter.
The Society
A room you come back to.
A Society is the second beat: the same room on a cadence, the people who were on the floor beside you, and the Integration that keeps going between Experiences.
Members return, hold each other to the card, and have a say in what this becomes. The Society, in full.
